Rear Steer Power Rack and Pinion

The Unisteer 8011410 is a power rack and pinion system engineered to specifically match the stock suspension of 1960-1964 Ford Full Size cars, offering a superior steering experience. This bolt-in system is a rear steer, center take-off style rack and pinion, featuring a ball center bar that aligns perfectly with the stock suspension's center link. The rack and pinion is pre-mounted to a one-piece bracket, allowing for direct bolt-up to the frame using the existing holes from the steering box and idler arm. This kit is designed for use with traditional FE motors, including the 332 and 352 engines, and has been successfully installed on vehicles with stock manifolds. While other headers may fit, they might necessitate modifications or an additional u-joint in the column linkage. Technical specifications include a 17mm DD pinion type/size, 6 inches of travel, and 2.5 to 2.75 turns lock-to-lock. The pressure port is sized at 18mm (6AN Banjo), and the return port is 16mm (6AN Banjo). It requires a low flow/pressure pump. Inner end threads are 9/16"-18, and outer ends are included. The kit includes the rack and pinion, mounting bracket, hardware, outer tie rod ends, a pump and line kit, and a steering shaft kit. This system is not compatible with trucks.
