Overview

It is machined from 1/4" aluminum and powdercoated black, tying together the lower rear control arm mounting points and triangulating them to the subframe.

This brace prevents shifting under side loads. Unlike some aftermarket braces, it is made of strong aluminum and does not require exhaust removal for installation. It is compatible with various Miata models and includes a 1-year warranty.

Machined from a substantial 1/4" aluminum plate and finished with a durable black powdercoat, this brace directly connects and triangulates the lower rear control arm mounting points to the subframe, effectively preventing any chassis flex or shifting under side loads. This design offers a substantial upgrade over factory bracing, which is often less triangulated or even absent. The brace is compatible with 1990-1991 and 1999-2005 Miatas, including the 2004-2005 Mazdaspeed models. For 1992-1997 models, a minor modification involving cutting off a bracket for the stock brace is necessary. While the Cannon brace generally offers excellent fitment, some potential conflicts and considerations exist. It may have clearance issues with JR exhausts. Additionally, if you are using Flyin' Miata's Paco eccentric locks for alignments, the brace will need to be removed each time an alignment is performed, adding a slight inconvenience. However, if you do not have Paco eccentric locks, the brace does not need to be removed for alignments. This brace is also incompatible with Flyin' Miata's billet sway bar brackets. Users have noted that minor adjustments to mounting holes may sometimes be required for optimal fit, and an alignment is recommended after installation, particularly if eccentric bolts were previously misaligned.
