The Powerflex PFR5-4610 is a set of two polyurethane rear subframe front bushings designed for specific BMW E46, E83 X3, and Z4 (E85 & E86) models. These bushings are a direct replacement for worn OE components, utilizing a 70A durometer polyurethane material that offers approximately 25% increased stiffness over stock. This upgrade aims to enhance vehicle dynamics by minimizing subframe movement, which can lead to issues like poor handling, alignment problems, and unwanted noises or clunks during acceleration and braking. By replacing degraded rubber mounts with durable polyurethane, the PFR5-4610 helps restore precise wheel control and maintain suspension geometry under load. The kit includes two PFR5-4610 A bushes, two PFR5-4610 B bushes, two stainless steel sleeves, and PTFE/silicone grease for installation. Powerflex products are known for their high performance and durability, offering a significant upgrade over standard rubber bushings without introducing excessive noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) for street applications.
