The AKG Motorsport BMW E36 Rear Subframe Reinforcement Kit provides a critical upgrade for the E36 chassis. This issue is common in E36 models, especially those subjected to track use or racing, due to torque loads stressing the attachment points. While marketed by AKG Motorsport, this kit consists of genuine BMW parts, ensuring optimal fit and performance. Installation is recommended to be performed by professionals, as it requires welding. It's an ideal time to install these reinforcements when dropping the subframe for other maintenance, such as replacing subframe bushings. The kit is recommended for both race and street applications. This product includes a set of four genuine BMW reinforcement plates. It is important to note that while AKG Motorsport offers this product, it is a Genuine BMW kit and not manufactured by AKG itself. The reinforcement plates are made in the USA. They are compatible with BMW E36 models from 1992-1999, including the 318, 323, 325, 328, and pre-1995 M3.
