The Hardrace 8879 is a rear sway bar and subframe brace kit designed for the 1996-2000 Honda Civic EK, excluding the Type R model.

The sway bar helps to correct understeer or oversteer, improving grip and handling by keeping the car flat during high-speed cornering. It is heat-treated with a hollow internal structure and features adjustable end link positions.

The Hardrace 8879 Rear Sway Bar and Subframe Brace Kit is specifically engineered for the 1996-2000 Honda Civic EK models, excluding the Type R variant. The sway bar, a crucial component for managing oversteer and understeer, ties the lower suspension links together, minimizing body roll and keeping the car level through corners. It features a heat-treated, hollow internal structure for optimal performance and weight balance, and offers adjustability with two end link positions for fine-tuning. The accompanying rear sub-frame brace serves a dual purpose: it stiffens the chassis to reduce flex, which can negatively impact handling, and acts as reinforcement for the sway bar mounts, preventing potential subframe tearing under stress. It is important to note that the subframe brace component of this kit is not compatible with the Type R model due to its existing factory subframe reinforcement. Additionally, end links are sold separately and are not included with this kit.
