Rear Track Bar Kit

The Thuren rear track bar kit is engineered to resolve rear suspension handling issues in 2014-2026 Dodge Ram 2500 and Power Wagon trucks, particularly the unsettling oscillation experienced at higher speeds on uneven roads. This phenomenon is exacerbated by towing, carrying loads, or softer rear springs. The kit transforms the vehicle into a more precise-handling machine by virtually eliminating this rear suspension problem, with significant improvements felt even on stock suspension. Constructed from hardened 4140 Chromoly solid bar with 17-4 hardened stainless center pivots, this track bar utilizes greaseable, rebuildable performance joints similar to Thuren's control arms. The axle mount bracket is CNC laser cut and formed from 1/4" steel. The track bar pivot is extended 6.5" at the axle side and raised to optimize geometry, avoiding the need for bump stop drops or spacers. All Grade 8 hardware is included for installation, which involves drilling only one new hole and slightly opening up two existing holes on 2500 models, or drilling two new holes on Power Wagon models. Thuren specifically designed the bracket to raise the axle-side pivot rather than drop the frame-side mount. This approach is crucial for maintaining a proper rear roll-center geometry, as lowering the frame pivot would excessively decrease the roll center, leading to increased chassis side-to-side rocking and negatively impacting handling. By raising the axle mount and extending the bar, the kit relaxes the rear axle's arc, minimizing side-to-side movement during suspension cycling for more predictable handling. The kit also eliminates the bushing torque forces inherent in the OEM vulcanized rubber bushings. These OEM bushings require twisting to allow suspension movement, creating an unbalanced spring rate on the passenger side, which contributes to the factory system's unstable rocking feel at highway speeds. Thuren's performance joints allow for smoother suspension travel, reducing rear steer, improving roll center dynamics, and ensuring more consistent spring rates during suspension cycling. ***Important Fitment Note: This kit is designed for 2014-2026 Ram 2500 and Power Wagon models. It does not fit certain 2-Wheel Drive trucks. If you have a 2-Wheel Drive truck, you must email a picture of your axle bracket where the track bar attaches for fitment confirmation, as some 2x4 trucks use an incompatible bracket. The product is compatible with other brand suspension kits ranging from 0" to 2.5" of actual rear lift, and also functions on stock suspension.
