The Lemforder Rear Upper Strut/Shock Mount is a critical component for anchoring the rear shock to the chassis. Over time, the rubber in these mounts can weaken and tear, leading to noises and compromised suspension performance. Replacing worn shock mounts is labor- and time-effective, especially when installing new shock absorbers, to prevent future failures.

As the rubber in these mounts ages and wears from thousands of miles of driving, it can weaken and tear. This degradation can lead to audible clunking or banging noises, particularly over bumps or rough roads, and may also result in increased body roll or excessive bouncing. To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your suspension system, it is highly recommended to replace these mounts concurrently with new shock absorbers. Failure to do so can lead to premature failure of the new shocks, necessitating a repeat disassembly and reassembly of the shock absorber assembly, incurring additional labor and time. This rear shock mount is made in France and features OE quality, often produced on the same lines as Genuine BMW parts. Its construction typically involves metal and rubber to absorb vibrations and provide necessary flexibility. This part is specifically designed for various BMW E60, E63, E65, and E66 models, including variants such as the 525i, 525xi, 528i, 528xi, 530i, 535i, 535xi, 545i, 550i, 645Ci, 650i, 745i, 750i, and B7 Alpina.
