The AC Industries Rear Wide-5 Disc Brake Kit provides an air-cooled VW industry-first, exclusively offered by AC Industries. This 100% bolt-on wide-5-lug rear disc brake kit is designed for vintage enthusiasts seeking a heavy-duty system capable of handling the demands of daily driving and significant motor upgrades. A key benefit is that this kit does not alter the stock wheel location, meaning if your current wheels clear a drum brake setup, they will clear this disc brake kit. This comprehensive kit includes two rotors with a VW Wide-5 pattern (5x205mm), two calipers, two nodular iron caliper mounting brackets, four brake pads, two e-brake cables, a seal kit, and all necessary mounting hardware. Important fitment notes include: This kit will ONLY fit '67 models with a Short Spline Axle. It requires the use of 15" wheels and will not work with longer or wider than stock IRS trailing arms. Additionally, press-in studs are not compatible with these rotors, and you will need two 25" long metal brake lines (part #113611764B). The kit is compatible with Volkswagen Beetle (1958-1967) and Karmann Ghia (1958-1967) models across various body types including Convertible, Sedan, Sunroof, and Coupe.
