The EMF Rebuildable Ball Joint Kit provides a durable solution for replacing worn ball joints on 1994-1999 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD models equipped with a Dana 60 front axle. This kit includes a pair of upper ball joints, a pair of lower ball joints, installation nuts, washers, cups, and instructions. EMF's innovative design features a removable race and pin, allowing for rebuilding the joint on the truck without full removal. This contrasts with competitive products where wear on the pin can lead to the premature replacement of the entire unit. By focusing wear on the internal race and pin, the EMF ball joint offers extended longevity. The kit also includes grease fittings, enabling regular lubrication to maintain optimal performance, recommended around every oil change. Proper greasing involves applying grease to the lower ball joint first, then the upper, and repeating to ensure distribution and free movement of the knuckle. If play develops, tightening the ring via the set screw can often resolve it; rebuilding with new races and pins becomes necessary when this is no longer effective.
