Rebuilt Supercharger with JBP Billet Impeller

The Powerdyne BD-11A is a remanufactured supercharger, suitable for various applications, including the 1998-2001 Saleen Explorer XP8 5.0L. This oil-less design features a satin finish and a JBP billet impeller for enhanced performance and airflow. The volute can be rotated 360 degrees for flexible mounting. Performance metrics indicate a maximum speed of 42,500 RPM in low torque applications, with a reduced recommendation of 38,500 RPM for high torque engines to minimize potential issues. It can deliver up to 16 PSI of boost and 900 CFM of airflow, capable of supporting approximately 450 horsepower with a peak efficiency of 84%. The unit's dimensions include a 3" discharge outer diameter, a 2.4" discharge inner diameter, a 3.5" inlet outer diameter, and a 3" inducer diameter. This rebuilt supercharger comes with new SKF input bearings, ceramic output bearings, and an HTD belt. It also includes a new JBP Billet Impeller and input shaft, along with stainless steel hardware and steel case clamps. A 12-month limited warranty covers non-consumable components, and it comes with a pulley bolt and key. Powerdyne Superchargers are specifically recommended as street superchargers for stock engines and are not advised for high torque applications or race use. Installation on high torque applications can lead to internal drive belt breakage, which is not covered under warranty. Superchargers operating above 6 PSI require a standard bypass valve. Powerdyne utilizes manual belt tensioners, necessitating a belt tension tool like the Gates Krikit for proper adjustment; excessive tension causing bearing damage is not covered. Additionally, newer TorqStorm parts are not compatible with Powerdyne superchargers.
