Recoil Traction Bar Kit

The BDS Suspension BDS2312 Recoil Traction Bar Kit is engineered to enhance traction and control axle wrap on 2017-2024 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty 4WD trucks equipped with a 4.5-inch diameter axle. This system allows for adjustable axle wrap control via dual-stage resistance springs, which can be loaded or unloaded while the vehicle is installed. The full-floating design ensures bind-free performance and does not hinder suspension articulation or wheel travel. Constructed from robust 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing, the traction bars feature a threaded bung at the axle end and a CNC-machined end at the frame. The axle mount incorporates BDS's durable large-forged flex end and jam nut, offering up to 15 degrees of misalignment. The frame end utilizes a durometer-specific polyurethane bushing and free floats within the traction bar, supported by dual-stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings. Installation is described as moderately easy with an estimated time of 3-4 hours. The traction bar ends are greaseable and rebuildable for longevity. Spring preload can be adjusted on the vehicle without needing to disassemble the traction bar.
