Recoil Traction Bar Mounting Kit

The BDS Suspension BDS121407 Recoil Traction Bar Mounting Kit is engineered to enhance traction and manage axle wrap on 2001-2010 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD/3500 HD models. Constructed from durable 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing, this kit incorporates a threaded bung near the axle and a CNC-machined end at the frame. The axle mount utilizes BDS's robust forged flex end and jam nut, capable of 15 degrees of misalignment. At the frame end, the traction bar features a durometer-specific polyurethane bushing. The bar itself floats freely, incorporating a pair of dual-stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings. This design allows for adjustable axle wrap control and ensures bind-free performance throughout the suspension's full range of travel, without hindering articulation. The spring preload can be adjusted while the component is installed on the vehicle. This mounting kit is designed for 2001-2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500, and 3500 HD models, as well as 2001-2010 GMC Sierra 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500, and 3500 HD models. Specifically, it fits 2001-2003 and 2005-2006 Silverado/Sierra 1500 HD, 2001-2010 Silverado/Sierra 2500 HD, 2001-2006 Silverado/Sierra 3500, and 2007-2010 Silverado/Sierra 3500 HD. Note that this kit is designed for 6'6" beds and will not fit Long Bed models and requires the Universal Traction Bar Box Kit.
