Red Line 75W140NS GL-5 Gear Oil is a full synthetic lubricant formulated from polyol ester base stocks. It contains extreme pressure additives for ultimate protection in road cars and racing vehicles, but lacks friction modifiers for slipperiness. This makes it popular for historic and vintage transmissions, as well as for resolving noisy or rough shifting in specific older transmissions like the A-833 Dodge/Plymouth 4-speed (1964-1969). It features a high viscosity index, relatively constant viscosity and film thickness with varying temperatures, superior shear stability, and reduced oxidation.
