The Cobb Redline Carbon Fiber Intake is engineered for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX STI, offering enhanced airflow and reduced heat soak. Its airbox structure is constructed from carbon fiber, chosen for its superior low thermal conductivity compared to aluminum or plastic. This material property minimizes heat transfer from the engine bay into the intake air, especially during demanding driving conditions like track sessions or sustained high-performance driving, resulting in denser, more oxygen-rich air entering the engine. The intake features a polished aluminum tube and a high-flow cone filter. Crucially, it retains the factory MAF sensor to ensure precise air mass measurement, which is vital for optimal engine performance and tuning. Cobb Tuning, established in 1999, is known for developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged vehicles, with a focus on integrated systems that deliver consistent and reliable results.
