Their unique Kevlar fiber-based compound, enhanced with ceramic particles, delivers effective braking from cold and improves as temperatures rise. This advanced formulation results in quieter operation and extended pad life compared to older generations of RedStuff pads. These pads significantly reduce dust output by 60-90%, and the minimal dust produced is easily cleaned, containing no steel fiber particles. They feature a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 and have a special EBC Brake-In surface coating designed to condition rotor surfaces and speed up the pad bedding process. Drivers should note that due to their hard-wearing nature, bed-in times can extend up to 1000 miles, requiring patience for the pads to conform to the brake disc shape. These rear brake pads are specifically compatible with MK7 GTI NON-PP models and are designed for 2016+ model year B7 Passat and 2016+ model year Audi Q3 vehicles ONLY. They are designed for vehicles equipped with 272mm rotors. The pads have been proven to stop passenger cars 13 meters quicker than OEM pads from 100 mph. Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulation.
