The EBC Brakes Redstuff Premium Street Ceramic Brake Pads, rear pair (DP31749C), are engineered for fast road use with a focus on reduced dust and quiet operation. Featuring a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5, the Redstuff pads boast a 15% higher friction level than OE pads and have been independently tested to stop passenger cars 13 meters quicker from 100mph. The material is designed for durability, though it requires a bed-in period of up to 1000 miles for optimal performance as the pad conforms to the rotor shape. This makes them suitable for repeated heavy braking scenarios. EBC Brakes manufactures these pads in their specialist factories in the UK and USA. Most Red Ceramic pads meet ECE R90 safety regulations. For optimal performance, drivers should be patient during the bed-in period.
