The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assembly is a remanufactured differential component specifically designed for 2000-2002 Ford Expedition vehicles. This unit is built with a 3.31 gear ratio, a robust 9.75-inch ring gear, and 14mm wheel studs, ensuring compatibility with the specified Ford models. This Posi Traction (Limited Slip Differential) assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. Zumbrota Drivetrain inspects all tubes for straightness to OEM specifications and tests housings for surface wear and cracks. A 100% inspection of all internal parts, including the Ring & Pinion, gears, clutch packs, and carrier, is performed. To ensure longevity and precision setup, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are 100% replaced, and correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements. The housings are also cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process, restoring them to an OEM finish. Technical notes specify the gear ratio as 3.31 for the Ford 9.75 Inch Ring Gear with 14 mm Wheel Studs and Tag Numbers S930P, S930R. This assembly comes with Posi Traction but does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which may need to be transferred from the original unit or sourced separately.
