The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assembly is a completely rebuilt Dana 60 rear axle designed for the 1994 Dodge Ram 2500. This assembly ensures precision and reliability, with all internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergoing a 100% inspection. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced as part of the remanufacturing process. Zumbrota Drivetrain emphasizes quality control by inspecting axle tubes for OEM standards of straightness and testing housings for surface wear and cracks. Gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds, to ensure precise setup and longevity. Proper gear backlash is set for optimal lubrication and quiet operation. This specific assembly includes a 3.55 gear ratio, a 9.75-inch ring gear, and a 10-bolt cover, designed for 8800 GVW applications. It is configured for 4x2 drive type and features Posi Traction.
