The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2037F is a remanufactured axle assembly engineered for the Ford 8.8-inch rear axle. This unit comes with a 3.55 gear ratio and is designed for F-150 trucks from 1999 to 2000 equipped with rear disc brakes. The assembly undergoes a comprehensive rebuilding process, including inspection of all tubes and housings for straightness, wear, and cracks. Internal components, such as the ring and pinion, gears, clutches, and carriers, are 100% inspected. During the remanufacturing process, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Housings are cleaned using a hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish. Precision setup is ensured by establishing correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements, contributing to longevity. Technical notes specify that this assembly features tag numbers S828B and S829B. Furthermore, the assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which must be sourced separately. Buyers should also be aware of a refundable core charge of $400, which is credited back upon return of the old, salvageable part.
