Reman Axle Assembly 3.73 Posi Traction

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assembly is a meticulously rebuilt rear axle designed for GM 10 Bolt 8.5-inch housings. This assembly features a 3.73 gear ratio and a G80 Posi Traction differential, ensuring enhanced traction and performance. It is specified for 30 spline axles. Each axle assembly undergoes a comprehensive inspection process. This includes thorough testing of the housing for surface wear and cracks, ensuring its structural integrity. Internal components such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers are subjected to 100% inspection. Furthermore, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced to guarantee reliable operation. The gear backlash is precisely set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet running, while gear teeth are inspected for optimal contact patterns and correct rolling torque. Zumbrota Drivetrain utilizes an exclusive hydro-blasting and rinsing process, along with sandblasting, on internal and external parts. This is followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning, which restores the housing to an OEM finish and sets a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies. The axle tubes are also inspected to ensure they meet OEM specifications for straightness. This particular unit is designed for 1988-1991 GM 1500 4WD models with a 3.73 ratio and Posi Traction. It does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
