The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assembly is a rebuilt differential and rear-end component designed for Ford 8.8 Inch ring gears. This specific unit comes with a 3.73 gear ratio and Posi Traction for enhanced performance. During the remanufacturing process, all tubes are straightened to OEM specifications and housings are rigorously tested for surface wear and cracks. Every internal component, including ring and pinion gears, clutches, and carriers, undergoes a 100% inspection. Critical wear items such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are all replaced to ensure longevity and reliability. The housings are then cleaned using a hydro blasting process to achieve an OEM finish, and precise rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and extended service life. This assembly is designed for 1991-1994 Ford Explorer and Mazda Navajo models with ABS.
