All tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are tested for wear and cracks. Internal components undergo a 100% inspection, with all bearings, seals, and other small parts replaced.

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assembly is a fully remanufactured rear-end component featuring a Ford 8.8-inch ring gear with a 4.10 gear ratio and Posi Traction differential. This axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process to ensure the highest standards of precision and reliability. The process includes inspecting and straightening all tubes to OEM specifications, as well as testing housings for surface wear and cracks. Internally, all components, including ring and pinion gears, clutches, and carriers, are inspected 100%, and all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The housings are then cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish. Correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. This assembly is specifically designed for 1995-2001 Ford Explorer models, excluding the Sport Trac. It includes the Posi Traction differential and the 4.10 ratio but does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. Potential buyers should confirm fitment for their specific vehicle before purchase.
