Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for GM 14 Bolt trucks, specifically for the 1990-1991 GM 3500 Pickup models. This axle assembly features a 4.56 gear ratio, a robust 10.5-inch ring gear, and a Posi Traction differential (G80) for enhanced traction. It is designed for 2WD vehicles with Dual Rear Wheels (DRW). The carrier type is HC4. During the remanufacturing process, all tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are tested for cracks. Internal components, including the ring & pinion, gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo 100% inspection. Crucially, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The housing is then cleaned using a hydro blasting process for an OEM finish, and the correct rolling torque is established for precision setup and longevity. This unit does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
