This is a remanufactured complete axle assembly from Zumbrota Drivetrain, designed for the 1989-1990 Chrysler/Dodge Dakota with a 7.25" ring gear, 3.55 ratio, 2WD, and posi-traction. The assembly undergoes a thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are inspected and tested. Bearings and seals are replaced, and gear backlash and tooth contact patterns are set for precise setup and longevity. The axle tubes are inspected to ensure OEM standards of straightness, and the housing is cleaned using a hydro-blast rinse, sandblasting, and proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning. It features a 10-bolt hexagon cover and comes with a limited slip differential (Posi Traction). It does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
