Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assemblies are rebuilt to high quality standards. Each assembly undergoes inspection for straightness, cracks, and wear. Internal components (ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, carriers) are fully inspected and tested. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Gears are set for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements. Gear backlash is precisely set for proper lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM standards. Zumbrota uses hydro-blast rinse, sandblasting, and proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning for parts.
