Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assemblies are remanufactured to high quality standards. Each assembly is inspected for straightness, cracks, and wear. Internal components (ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, carriers) are fully inspected and tested. All bearings & seals are replaced. Gears are set for optimal tooth contact patterns and rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. Correct gear backlash is set for lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected to OEM straightness standards. Zumbrota uses an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning.
