Description

This Zumbrota Drivetrain remanufactured rear axle assembly is designed for 2003-2005 Ford Expeditions with an 8.8-inch IRS and a 3.73 gear ratio. The remanufacturing process includes inspection of internal components, replacement of all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims. Housings are hydro-blast rinsed, sandblasted, and deep cleaned to restore OEM finish. Gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns, correct rolling torque, and proper gear backlash for quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected for straightness to meet OEM standards. Note: This product is the axle assembly only; axles are not included.
