This is a remanufactured rear axle assembly from Zumbrota Drivetrain, designed for GM 8.5" rear ends. It features a 3.42 gear ratio, 4x4 compatibility, 6-lug axles, and posi-traction (G80). The assembly undergoes a thorough rebuilding process including inspection for straightness, cracks, and wear; replacement of all bearings and seals; and inspection of internal components like ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. Gears are set for optimal tooth contact and correct rolling torque. The housings are hydro-blasted and sandblasted for an OEM finish. It does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
