This Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1937 remanufactured axle assembly is designed for GM 8.5" rear ends with a 3.73 gear ratio, specifically fitting 1998-2005 Chevrolet S10 and S15 models. Each assembly undergoes a rigorous rebuilding process, including inspection and straightening of axle tubes to OEM specifications, testing of housings for surface wear and cracks, and 100% inspection of all internal components (ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers). All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Housings are cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process, restoring them to an OEM finish. The assembly is set with correct rolling torque and gear backlash to ensure precise setup, proper lubrication, quiet operation, and longevity. This unit does not include a Posi Traction differential, hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
