The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for specific Chrysler 7.25-inch applications, including the 1987-1988 Dakota 2WD. This unit comes with a 3.23 gear ratio and Posi Traction for enhanced performance. All housings undergo a thorough inspection for surface wear and cracks and are then straightened to OEM specifications. The remanufacturing process includes a 100% inspection of all internal components, such as Ring & Pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. Critical wear items like bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are all replaced. The housing is then cleaned using an advanced hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore it to an OEM finish, ensuring precision setup and longevity with correct rolling torque established through inch-pound measurements. It is important to note that this axle assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which must be sourced separately.
