The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy RAA435-1488B-P is a comprehensively remanufactured unit designed as a direct replacement for 1989-1990 Dodge Dakota 2WD models equipped with the Chrysler 7.25-inch axle and a 2.76 gear ratio with Posi Traction. This assembly undergoes rigorous inspection and rebuilding processes to ensure reliability and longevity. During remanufacturing, all axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are checked for surface wear and cracks. Internally, 100% of components, including the Ring & Pinion, gears, and clutches, are inspected. Critical wear items such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The housing is then hydro blasted for an OEM finish, and correct rolling torque is established with precise measurements for optimal setup and extended service life. This particular axle assembly is configured with a 2.76 gear ratio, a 7.25-inch ring gear, and a 10-bolt hexagon cover. It includes Posi Traction (limited-slip differential) capability.
