The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a comprehensively rebuilt assembly designed for the robust Dana 80 differential. This unit is engineered for 1992-2002 GM 3500HD trucks equipped with a 4.63 gear ratio. It is exclusively for 2WD applications that do not have the Wide Track option and features a Posi Limited Slip Differential (LSD) for enhanced traction. During the remanufacturing process, all tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings undergo testing for surface wear and cracks. Every internal component, including ring and pinion gears, clutch packs, and carriers, is subjected to a 100% inspection. To ensure longevity and performance, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced, and the correct rolling torque is established using precise inch-pound measurements. The housings are also meticulously cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish.
