Each assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and rigorously tested. All bearings & seals are replaced. Gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, established using inch-pound measurements to ensure precise setup and extended longevity. Proper gear backlash clearance is set to guarantee adequate lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected to meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning, setting a benchmark for axle assembly remanufacturing. Units are securely shipped in high-density plastic totes to minimize the risk of in-transit damage.
