The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Complete Axle Assembly is a meticulously rebuilt unit designed to restore reliable performance to the Dana 35 differential. Engineered for the 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler equipped with ABS, this assembly features a 3.55 gear ratio, providing a balance of acceleration and highway cruising capability. Zumbrota Drivetrain adheres to stringent remanufacturing standards. Each axle assembly is subjected to a comprehensive inspection process. Axle tubes are checked for OEM straightness, and housings are inspected for surface wear and cracks. Internally, all components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. To ensure longevity and optimal function, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. Critical gear settings, such as tooth contact patterns and rolling torque, are established using precise inch-pound measurements, and gear backlash is carefully set for proper lubrication and quiet operation. The remanufacturing process includes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary deep cleaning method, which restores housings to an OEM finish. Please note that this assembly is sold without hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, allowing for customization or reuse of existing components. This specific axle assembly is for models with a Dana 35 differential, a 7.562-inch ring gear, and without Posi Traction.
