The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assembly is a remanufactured rear-end component specifically designed for 1999-2000 Ford F-150 trucks equipped with rear disc brakes and a Posi-Traction differential. This assembly is built to exacting standards. Zumbrota Drivetrain inspects all tubes to ensure they are straightened to OEM specifications and tests all housings for surface wear and cracks. A comprehensive 100% inspection is performed on all internal parts, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutch packs, and carrier. To ensure longevity and performance, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The housings are then hydro-blasted to restore an OEM finish, and the correct rolling torque is established using precise inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and extended service life. Key specifications for this unit include a 3.08 gear ratio and a Ford 8.8-inch ring gear. It is important to note that this assembly is for the axle assembly only and does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
