Reman Rear Axle Assembly, Dana 60, 9.75-Inch

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a rebuilt rear axle assembly designed for Dana 60 axles. This unit features a 9.75-inch ring gear and is configured for rear disc brakes with a Posi Traction limited-slip differential. It is built to order and ships ready for installation. This axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process to ensure quality and longevity. All housing tubes are inspected and straightened to meet OEM specifications, and the housings themselves are tested for surface wear and cracks. Internals, including the ring and pinion, clutch, and carrier, are subjected to a 100% inspection. Critical wear items such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new components. The remanufacturing process also includes a thorough cleaning of the housings using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing system, restoring them to an OEM finish. Precision setup is achieved by establishing the correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements, contributing to enhanced longevity. The final product is a remanufactured axle assembly with a 3.73 gear ratio. Technical notes indicate that this axle assembly is for semi-float axles and comes with Posi Traction. Importantly, it does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which must be sourced separately.
