The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a comprehensively rebuilt rear axle assembly, specifically engineered for 2000-2004 Ford F-150 trucks equipped with the Ford 8.8-inch rear end. This unit boasts a 3.55 gear ratio for optimal power transfer and is fitted with a Posi Limited Slip Differential (LSD) to improve traction in various driving conditions. During the remanufacturing process, all tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are tested for cracks and surface wear. Internal components, including the ring and pinion, gears, clutches, and carrier, undergo a 100% inspection. Additionally, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced to ensure longevity and performance. The housing is cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process, restoring it to an OEM finish, and correct rolling torque is established for precision setup. This axle assembly is sold as a "build to order" item and includes the core charge, which is refundable upon return of your old, salvageable axle assembly. It's important to note that this "assembly only" product does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which must be sourced separately. Customers are advised to confirm "Check Tag" information for specific fitment details.
