The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2288A is a remanufactured AAM 11.5" axle assembly designed for specific 2012 Ram 2500 and 3500 SRW 4WD models with a 3.42 gear ratio and Posi differential. This axle assembly is rebuilt to high standards of precision and reliability. Zumbrota Drivetrain thoroughly inspects all housings for straightness, cracks, and surface wear, and all tubes are straightened to OEM specifications. Internally, all components are inspected, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers. Bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are all replaced with new parts. The gear setup includes establishing correct rolling torque with inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and longevity, along with setting the proper gear backlash for lubrication and quiet operation. The housings are cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore an OEM finish.
