The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1488A is a remanufactured complete axle assembly designed for 1987-1988 Dodge Dakota models with 2WD and a 2.76 gear ratio. This assembly features a Chrysler 7.25-inch ring gear, a 10-bolt hexagon cover, and Posi Traction for enhanced performance. Each axle assembly is rebuilt to rigorous quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. Zumbrota Drivetrain thoroughly inspects each unit for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo comprehensive inspection and testing. To guarantee optimal setup and longevity, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and precise rolling torque is set using inch-pound measurements. Correct gear backlash is established to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. The remanufacturing process includes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning for both internal and external parts, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing.
