The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1834B is a remanufactured axle assembly specifically designed for GM 8.5" axles. This unit comes with a 3.42 gear ratio, identified by the GU6 ratio option, and is built for precision and reliability. Each axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. This includes thorough inspection of the housing for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. Zumbrota Drivetrain replaces all bearings and seals, and meticulously inspects gears for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds for precise setup and longevity. Gear backlash is carefully set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. The remanufacturing process also involves an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. All axle tubes are inspected to ensure they meet OEM specifications for straightness. This specific RAA435-1834B assembly is intended for 1995 GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe 2-door models.
