The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1795D is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for GM 7.5-inch rear ends, specifically for 1995-1997 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models with a 3.42 gear ratio, disc brakes, and traction control. This axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. It is thoroughly inspected for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal components such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers are meticulously inspected and tested. All bearings and seals are replaced with new ones. The gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and set to correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements to ensure precise setup and longevity. Proper gear backlash is set for optimal gear lubrication and quiet operation, and axle tubes are inspected to meet OEM standards of straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. The assembly includes the axle cover and features a 7.6-inch ring gear with a 3.42 gear ratio. It is equipped for the Traction Control Option NW9 and disc brakes, but it is specified as being *without* Posi Traction. The axle type is semi-floating.
