The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2204D-P is a remanufactured complete axle assembly designed for precision and reliability. This assembly features a 3.92 gear ratio, a Chrysler 8.25 inch ring gear, and a 10-bolt round cover. It is equipped with posi-traction and traction control capabilities, ensuring enhanced performance and handling. During the remanufacturing process, every axle assembly is thoroughly inspected for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo a 100% inspection and testing. Furthermore, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced to guarantee optimal function. The gears are meticulously set for ideal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, with precise backlash adjustments for longevity, proper lubrication, and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected to ensure they meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure for both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process. This comprehensive cleaning method sets a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing, returning cases to their original OEM finish. The assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
