The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1965D is a complete, remanufactured axle assembly engineered for durability and performance. This unit is rebuilt to stringent quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. It features a 4.10 gear ratio, a GM 7.5-inch ring gear, and includes a G80 Posi Traction limited-slip differential for enhanced traction. During the remanufacturing process, each axle assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are meticulously inspected and tested. Furthermore, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gears are set up to optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds, ensuring precise setup, longevity, and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process for both internal and external parts. This cleaning method restores housings to an OEM finish. This particular axle assembly is specifically for 2WD models with the ZQ8 chassis package and the GT5 ratio option. It does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. This remanufactured axle assembly is designed for 1998-2003 Chevrolet S10 and GMC S15 2WD models.
