The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA440-1349D is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for the 1995-1996 Ford Explorer with the M35 IFS (Independent Front Suspension). This axle assembly is rebuilt to stringent quality standards, emphasizing precision and reliability. Zumbrota Drivetrain conducts a comprehensive inspection of all internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, ensuring each part meets performance specifications. All bearings and seals are replaced with new components. The gear setup is meticulously calibrated for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds for precise setup and extended longevity. Proper gear backlash is set to guarantee adequate gear lubrication and quiet operation. Additionally, axle tubes are inspected for OEM standards of straightness, and checked for surface wear and cracks.
