The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1660D is a remanufactured complete axle assembly, engineered for GM 14 Bolt truck applications from 1990-1991, specifically the GM 3500 Pickup model. This assembly features a 4.56 gear ratio and a robust 10.5-inch 14-bolt ring gear, designed for 2WD Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) vehicles. It is configured without Posi Traction and is sold as an assembly only, excluding hubs, brakes, backing plates, and axle shafts. Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously rebuilds each axle assembly, ensuring precision and reliability. This process includes thorough inspection of the housing for straightness, cracks, and wear, as well as a 100% inspection and testing of all internal components like ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers. During the remanufacturing process, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and precise setup is achieved using inch-pound measurements for rolling torque, ensuring longevity. The axle tubes are checked to meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process for both internal and external parts, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing.
