Remanufactured Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2099W is a remanufactured axle assembly specifically designed for GM 7.5-inch differentials. This unit is built for 1998-2003 Chevrolet S10, GMC S15, and Sonoma trucks equipped with a 3.73 gear ratio, rear-wheel drive, and notably excludes models with the ZQ8 sport package or a third shock absorber. The assembly features a 7.6-inch ring gear, providing robust performance for these applications. Each Zumbrota axle assembly is meticulously rebuilt to exacting quality standards. The remanufacturing process involves comprehensive inspection of all internal components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, and clutches. All bearings and seals are replaced as a standard procedure. Furthermore, the gears are carefully inspected to ensure optimal tooth contact patterns and are set to the correct rolling torque using precise inch-pound measurements for enhanced setup accuracy and longevity. Proper gear backlash is established to guarantee adequate gear lubrication and quiet operation. To ensure structural integrity, the axle tubes are inspected to verify they meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on both internal and external parts. This is followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process, which collectively sets a high standard for the remanufacturing of axle assemblies.
