Each unit undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear, with all internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, meticulously checked and tested. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact and correct rolling torque for precise setup and longevity. Backlash is set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. The axle tubes are also inspected to meet OEM standards for straightness. This specific axle assembly features a 7.5-inch ring gear size and a 3.73 gear ratio, designed for 2003 Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari vans. It is configured without Posi Traction and utilizes two different sized U-joints for the rear drive shaft. Please note that this assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
