The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2196-P is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for the Dana 80 rear differential, featuring a 3.55 gear ratio and a Posi Limited Slip Differential. This axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. Each unit is meticulously inspected for structural integrity, checking for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including the ring and pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carrier, are thoroughly inspected and tested to ensure optimal performance and durability. New bearings and seals are installed in every assembly. Gears are inspected for precise tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds, to ensure longevity and quiet operation. The axle tubes are also inspected to meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota employs a unique cleaning process that includes hydro-blast rinsing and sandblasting for both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning. This process sets a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies. Key specifications include an 11.25-inch ring gear, a 10-bolt cover, and drum brakes. This assembly is noted as being Except Cab Chassis.
