The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1492KL-P is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for performance and reliability. This unit features a robust Ford 8.8-inch ring gear and a 4.10 gear ratio, enhanced with Posi Traction for improved grip and handling. It comes equipped with a flat flange pinion yoke for secure driveshaft connection and includes a new cover. Notably, this assembly is designed without ABS functionality. Zumbrota Drivetrain ensures the highest quality in their remanufactured axle assemblies. Each unit undergoes a comprehensive inspection process, checking for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are meticulously tested. To guarantee longevity and performance, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The gears are precisely set for optimal tooth contact, ensuring proper lubrication and quiet operation, with correct backlash established using inch-pound measurements. The remanufacturing process includes Zumbrota's exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process. This thorough cleaning brings housings back to OEM finish standards. All axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. The axle type is semi-floating, and while the cover is included, differential fluid is not.
