The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1917F is a remanufactured complete axle assembly, engineered to deliver reliable performance and durability for specific Ford and Mercury models. This axle assembly undergoes a comprehensive remanufacturing process that includes rigorous inspection and testing. Key quality assurance measures involve inspecting axle tubes for OEM straightness, testing housings for surface wear and cracks to ensure structural integrity, and a complete examination of internal components such as the ring and pinion, gears, clutches, and carriers. To guarantee longevity and proper function, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The assembly is also hydro-blasted and rinsed to restore its housing to an OEM finish, with precise rolling torque measurements taken to ensure accurate setup. Key specifications for this semi-floating axle assembly include an 8.8" ring gear size, with the axle cover included but fluid not included. It is specifically designed to fit the Ford Crown Victoria from 2001-2002 and the Mercury Grand Marquis from 2001-2002. For those looking to maintain or restore their vehicle’s drivetrain, this assembly offers a robust solution that combines quality craftsmanship with precision engineering.
